Season Winding Down as Market Heats Up
Residential inventory continues to grow as the area transitions from winter to spring. Though we are in the last few days of the ski and snowboard season at the resorts, many are already making their next move with available homes for sale up 24% from a year ago. Buyers are meeting this new supply with pending sales trending higher than last year. Though interest rates have fluctuated, the opportunities to lock-in rates at their lowest levels in a year have been a catalyst for activity in our bedroom communities. For all of us at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, the annual highlight of the season is welcoming the Sunshine Kids to Beaver Creek. The Sunshine Kids organization is a non-profit organization dedicated to children with cancer. Established in 1982, they are committed to providing positive group activities and emotional support for young cancer patients. The Sunshine Kids provides a variety of programs and events, free of charge, for Kids who are receiving cancer treatments in hospitals across North America. This year the kids participated in skiing, snowmobiling, bowling, and taking in all the sights and sounds of Beaver Creek and the surrounding communities.
